Summer (May to November) Black River Farm is set on 90 beautiful acres in the heart of Hunterdon County. Black River Farm hosts a premier Jumper Show each fall, brining some of the top jumper riders in the country out for a fun and entertaining annual event. This summer Black River Farm hosted the Middlesex Dressage Show on June 22 & 23. Betsy Steiner Dressage has been summering at Black River Farm since 2004. We lease a private barn on the property. It is a 17 stall barn, a large tack room, laundry room and private bathroom. There are several arenas on the property including a 100 by 200 indoor arena and a very large outdoor riding arena. Both arenas have sand and Euro -fiber footing. There is also a large grass field that is great for hacking and riding. We are an hour and 15 minutes outside of NYC and about an hour outside of Philadelphia. While Hunterdon County is known as horse country, the area boasts many charming towns to enjoy, such as Lambertville and New Hope with a great variety of activities for the non-horsey enthusiast as well. Winter (December to April) A charming facility located around the corner from the WEF Show grounds in Wellington. The facility has a bright and airy 12 stall barn with rubber mats in each stall and the aisle way, a tack room with individual lockers for clients, a mirrored full size arena, 4 paddocks, two grooming stalls and two wash racks. There is also ample access to the trail system for hours of hacking. We spent the winter of 2008 at the Dressage Center and are very happy to be returning for our 2009 season. Wellington has lots of great activities for the horse lover from almost weekly Dressage shows to educational clinics to fabulous fundraisers. Betsy Steiner Dressage participated annually in the Challenge of the Americas Freestyle competition benefiting breast cancer research in addition to a number of shows and clinics.
